That’s right... you’ll be mesmerized by this re-blooming Hydrangea time after time! This re-blooming Hydrangea has quickly become a summer favorite. The large blue flowers are larger and deeper in color than other traditional re-bloomers. The mop-like flower heads can show shades of blue with some purple tones (depending on soil acidity levels). Blooms, forming on new wood, start to appear in July and continue to bloom until the first frost. Pruning spent flowers will encourage new blooms to form. We truly believe that Pennsylvania Pride Time After Time is the best re-blooming Hydrangea on the market today!

Pennsylvania Pride Time After Time Hydrangea grows in full sun to light shade, but will do best if grown in areas that receive afternoon shade. They prefer a good, well-drained soil. This eye-catching Hydrangea will reach a mature size of 4” tall and 4” wide and they are hardy to Zone 5.

As you may know, acidity levels (otherwise known as pH levels) in soil can alter the colors of Hydrangea flowers. To touch on it briefly, pH stands for “power of Hydrogen” and it measures the amount of hydrogen ions in the soil. As the amount of hydrogen ions in the soil increases, the pH level decreases making the soil more acidic. The pH scale ranges from 0-14: with 7 being neutral. Anything below 7 would be considered acidic, anything above 7 would be considered alkaline. First and foremost, only the blue flowering varieties are pH adjustable, pink flowering Hydrangeas are not. Generally, if your soil pH is acidic, your flower color will remain blue, if your soil pH is more alkaline, your flower color will become pink, and if your soil pH is neutral, your flower color will be a muddy mixture of pink and blue.

However, Pennsylvania Pride Time After Time is not as sensitive to acidity levels. It will retain its blue color better than others, and if the acidity level drops to a more alkaline level, your flowers will turn to shades more on the purple side. If you need to adjust your soil acidity, consult with your local Pennsylvania Pride professional or email us at for more information on how to do so.
